What LureScan is

LureScan is a tool used at tackle shop counters. A camera identifies a loose fishing lure or bobber and shows the shop's price and a barcode. It does not connect to a shop's till or payment system.

What we collect

From the website: if you submit the "Book a demo" or contact form, we collect your name, email address and anything you write in the message. We use it to reply and follow up about LureScan. We do not sell it or use it for anything else.

From shop staff using the app: staff who log in have a name and email tied to their account, used only to run the app at their shop.

From the scanning itself: the app photographs lures and bobbers to identify them. These are product photos, not personal data, and no shopper or customer information is collected at the counter.

Server logs: our hosting providers keep standard technical logs (IP address, timestamps) needed to run the service securely. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising analytics on the website.

Who else sees it

Vercel hosts the website and web app. Supabase stores our database. Hostinger hosts the image recognition service, on a server in the EU. Anthropic's Claude API helps confirm a product match server-side and does not see or store shopper data. We do not sell personal data to anyone.

Your rights

Under Swedish and EU law, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@lurescan.com. You can also complain to Sweden's data protection authority, IMY (imy.se).

How long we keep it

Demo and contact messages are kept as long as needed to follow up, or until you ask us to delete them. Shop staff accounts are kept for as long as the shop uses LureScan.

Children

LureScan is a business tool for shop staff. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
